these texts are an archive of my life in the San Francisco Bay Area from march 2007 - march 2015. it stands as a record of close to a decade of my life, charting the struggles i faced as an artist, daughter, and lover. messy and chaotic at times, eloquent and poetic at others, these texts are an index i am proud of. it was here in this electric box that i learned how to be honest about my experiences and the person i needed to become. it was here that i first learned the truism that words make the world and how to trust such a beautiful, rife, hard fact.

thank you for meeting me here in such tall grass.

my artist website is here.

YAY!!!!!
Dude, you are so fuckin cute and adorable. I love you!
I think you're right, I think physical pain, though more culturally acceptable than emotional or psychological pain, is something we simply don't discuss in the public sphere, like it's a sign of weakness. Well guess what people, we're amazingly fragile creatures! We ARE easily damaged in ways that may become permanant, yes it sucks, but it really shouldn't reflect badly on the person who is in pain in any kind of way at all.
It's not about what you're dealt, but how you deal with it, right?
I have very few friends that I would consider close, and much like you sis, they are the same people that allowed me to express and discuss feeling and thoughts when Mama died, and for months ( and now years) after. I really do not understand our culture sometimes, and am frustrated by it constantly, it's like we're all trying to become perfect versions of ourselves, and perfection is an impossibility. I have no problem with wanting to be the best possible version of yourself, with inner peace and self-realization, attaining the peak of Maslow's hierarchy of needs, that sounds fantastic! But why do we can do all that and be honest enough to admit we all have flaws too.

kelly, that's for thinking i'm adorable and cute! i started wondering if i'm being dumb by making video blogs (especially ones which drag on for 11 minutes!) but i'm not going to erase them. they're fun to make and i think they're probably a bit more entertaining to watch than to reach my emo writings sometimes. though i suppose some statemt about perception and in the eye of the beholder applies here. :)

thank you for all your encouragement while i've been laid up. it means so much to me. :)
