these texts are an archive of my life in the San Francisco Bay Area from march 2007 - march 2015. it stands as a record of close to a decade of my life, charting the struggles i faced as an artist, daughter, and lover. messy and chaotic at times, eloquent and poetic at others, these texts are an index i am proud of. it was here in this electric box that i learned how to be honest about my experiences and the person i needed to become. it was here that i first learned the truism that words make the world and how to trust such a beautiful, rife, hard fact.

thank you for meeting me here in such tall grass.

my artist website is here.

i found this on the street in san rafael, california

yesterday. i read it aloud to my friend, her brother and mother, and shivered over the words, below the touch of facts, the music of pain and hope. i folded it up and put it in my back pocket and took it home.

That's a lovely passage about the animals. I love that Walt Whitman.

Glad you liked the Foucault quotes! They're incredibly inspiring to me too. That part about being *concerned* about something, it's so beautiful to me, so resonant.

so glad you like this one! i was happy to find it on the street! it seemed so perfectly timed, so well-suited to the day. i felt so lucky to have it in my hands. :)

and yes! i loved that passage too! i thought "concerned" was the perfect word. somehow it fits in with the sweep of all these other feelings and ideas that are floating around us right now. it mingles in such a poignant way with the whitman passage and the things you are descibing at Supernumerary. cross-polination is such a wonderful thing. i love all the criss crossing of ideas; the Hunt itself drawing lines and making connections that are so unexpected, so eloquent.
