these texts are an archive of my life in the San Francisco Bay Area from march 2007 - march 2015. it stands as a record of close to a decade of my life, charting the struggles i faced as an artist, daughter, and lover. messy and chaotic at times, eloquent and poetic at others, these texts are an index i am proud of. it was here in this electric box that i learned how to be honest about my experiences and the person i needed to become. it was here that i first learned the truism that words make the world and how to trust such a beautiful, rife, hard fact.

thank you for meeting me here in such tall grass.

my artist website is here.

As far as I can see, you have the courage to be yourself, Angela, in your art and writing. Please don't lose it.

elisabeth, i promise! i'm trying to be MORE myself. whatever this stuff is that i'm made up of, i'm trying to gain and multiply and expand, extend, ellevate. MORE! MORE! MORE! be more myself, be more honest, more accurate.

i'm thankful for what you see and choose to trust it.

yolanda, me too! to become my "eccentric self" fearlessly! and to be fearless in that regard every single day. it is so hard sometimes to simply be one's self... and to even know who that is. <3

all that matters is doing the work without fear, or with the fear and doing it anyway.

you are a big warrior, angela.

you got the big mojo.

we can all tell.

scott, i know you hear it a lot but i must say it to you also:

i love the way you talk. :)

i'm going to keep this with me. i'm going to repeat it to myself as often as i can: with the fear but do it anyway. it matters so much. the most important thing i can do is ingrain that knowledge in to my body and let it turn in to something unstoppable.

thank you.
