these texts are an archive of my life in the San Francisco Bay Area from march 2007 - march 2015. it stands as a record of close to a decade of my life, charting the struggles i faced as an artist, daughter, and lover. messy and chaotic at times, eloquent and poetic at others, these texts are an index i am proud of. it was here in this electric box that i learned how to be honest about my experiences and the person i needed to become. it was here that i first learned the truism that words make the world and how to trust such a beautiful, rife, hard fact.

thank you for meeting me here in such tall grass.

my artist website is here.

which one? the exploded house??? if so, i'll send you one in the package that is just sitting here waiting for my perfectionist-ass to call it "done". it's part of a series... if you even want the reminder kicking around your magical dwelling. let me know, sweet woman. ;)

Yup. Awesome.

Fences/boundaries are very important to your work, aren't they...

A ghost town cemetery, bordered by such fences, places I know or knew...how fluent you are in word and image.

marylinn, thank you so much!!! sometimes it's so easy for me to ignore/forget these simple little drawings, ignore the language or atmosphere they create because they aren't a massive oil painting. thank you for reminding me that a simple approach can leave a deep mark. :)

thanks, christine! i've been going through my work again lately and i actually found a pretty large amount of work inspired by sylvia plath. i'm working on a portfolio for you now. and not just for Fat Gold Watch, but just to show it to you. just so you can have the images. just so the conversation continues. :)
