these texts are an archive of my life in the San Francisco Bay Area from march 2007 - march 2015. it stands as a record of close to a decade of my life, charting the struggles i faced as an artist, daughter, and lover. messy and chaotic at times, eloquent and poetic at others, these texts are an index i am proud of. it was here in this electric box that i learned how to be honest about my experiences and the person i needed to become. it was here that i first learned the truism that words make the world and how to trust such a beautiful, rife, hard fact.
Doll Collection...I want to see it full size, I want to wonder at their regiments, the way the groups are set apart from each other. I have nothing to offer about self-publishing other than I hope you achieve it, bringing your work within our reach.
OH MY GOD!!! THE APPLES AND DOLLS--I FREAKING LOVE THAT!!! Possible my favorite of yours (tied with the x-ray hand and moth ones...too hard to choose!!!).

I'm visiting a friend in SF in early August, and I plan to go to HANG Gallery and say hi to your work in person...very exciting...:)
thanks, marylinn! i hope to get the book idea figured out at some point for sure. the more i research the possibilities, the more i realize i'll need a better camera in order to do it. so that's the first thing on the TO-DO list in this little dream sequence of mine. :)
some bits on doll collection are collaged, but each little one is hand drawn. each a bit unique. i'm so glad you like it. click the picture to see it bigger, but i wish you could get up close and personal with it too. :)

and YAY for a little vacation to san francisco!!!!! totally exciting! if you can swing it, definitely go see the fisher collection at SFMOMA right now (the exhibition i can't stop raving about). and don't be shy at HANG. everyone who works there is so friendly. they'll pull my inventory out for you so you can see every single piece if you want to. :)
