these texts are an archive of my life in the San Francisco Bay Area from march 2007 - march 2015. it stands as a record of close to a decade of my life, charting the struggles i faced as an artist, daughter, and lover. messy and chaotic at times, eloquent and poetic at others, these texts are an index i am proud of. it was here in this electric box that i learned how to be honest about my experiences and the person i needed to become. it was here that i first learned the truism that words make the world and how to trust such a beautiful, rife, hard fact.

rest
the work day ended early due to 'the royal tenenbaums' and my new kiki smith books arriving in the mail box. 2 poems came out and i think i may have finally finished one of the big oils. i'll know by monday... or at least make a decision about it. for the next two days though, i want nothing heavy. nothing that needs analysis or even much attention. just softness. a warm place.

You've worked hard enough for now. It seems to me as you suggest, it's time for a rest. Besides, I'm finding it hard to keep up with you.
hahaha! thanks elisabeth!!! i so enjoy your visits here! yesterday was quite a day for ranty rambling. the past few weeks, actually. ha! a break is definitely in order. a turn toward something a bit lighter. i'm so glad you keep coming over my way. :)
