these texts are an archive of my life in the San Francisco Bay Area from march 2007 - march 2015. it stands as a record of close to a decade of my life, charting the struggles i faced as an artist, daughter, and lover. messy and chaotic at times, eloquent and poetic at others, these texts are an index i am proud of. it was here in this electric box that i learned how to be honest about my experiences and the person i needed to become. it was here that i first learned the truism that words make the world and how to trust such a beautiful, rife, hard fact.
thank you for meeting me here in such tall grass.
my artist website is

I love it.
I feel you would paint saddle shoes exquisitely.
Happy New Year!
And now after Kiki Smith, your art pours out seemingly effortlessly, though I know it's not effortless.
You are one of the ones who needs to express her talent. You care. You will not be stopped by whatever hampers you. I salute you.
happy new year, storialist! thank you! saddle shoes... yes, i'm going to steal this idea from you. ;)
elisabeth, thank you so much for saying so! i DO care and i always hope that it somehow comes through in the work, that the veiwer sees it and knows it and that i've done right by the image, by the idea, by all of it.
i love it too much to ever stop.
Ahh, the shadow above the right foot really brings this into perspective. Perfect!
What size shoe do you wear?
xo
i'm gonna take another shot at this image as soon as possible. i ran out of black gouache. ha! the shadows are where it's at. shadows within shadows. and i want to get deeper in to them. thank you!
i have a wide foot but most 8 1/2s fits me unless the shoe is cut pretty narrow. than i gots to upgrade to a size 9. :)
