these texts are an archive of my life in the San Francisco Bay Area from march 2007 - march 2015. it stands as a record of close to a decade of my life, charting the struggles i faced as an artist, daughter, and lover. messy and chaotic at times, eloquent and poetic at others, these texts are an index i am proud of. it was here in this electric box that i learned how to be honest about my experiences and the person i needed to become. it was here that i first learned the truism that words make the world and how to trust such a beautiful, rife, hard fact.

thank you for meeting me here in such tall grass.

always creepy, never cute

there's just something about dolls...
i'm not quite sure what to say about this painting aside from the fact that it's scary as hell. it's currently hanging in my living room which may not be the best space for it. the guests seem a bit uncomfortable. i guess that's an appropriate reaction.
i've always thought dolls were kinda creepy. even as a child, i preferred stuffed animals to dolls.
dolls are sort of like rosaries... beautiful objects, meant to be held and loved... and extremely effective brain-washing tools.

Hauntingly beautiful, as you say, dolls are the strangest things, they imply a sense of reality and yet they are inanimate!
Wonderful

Very good one, as your previous portraits series.
There is something between ghost, murderpuppet and early days of photography...
